Jessica Tarlov was born on March 9, 1984, in Manhattan, New York. Her parents are Mark Tarlov and Judith Roberts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bryn Mawr College in 2006.

Right after college, Jessica went to the London School of Economics and Political Science and obtained a Master of Science in Public Policy and Administration and a Master of Research Degree in Political Science. In 2008, she began to work as a research assistant for Douglas Schoen, a political analyst.

Thereafter, she went on to pursue further studies and earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science and Government in 2012 before returning to work as a political strategist under Douglas.

Jessica is notably known for her work with Fox News. She has created a significant presence in American media since her first appearance in 2014. She's often seen contributing her insights from a liberal perspective and has featured on multiple programs.

Since 2017, she has been one of the rotating liberal party personalities on 'The Five' from the Fox News Channel (FNC). She is a registered Democrat and the political party's strong voice on FNC.

Apart from Fox, she currently works at Bustle Digital Group (BDG). However, before joining BDG in 2017, she was a senior strategist for over five years at Schoen Consulting.

During that time, she advised domestic and international clients on messaging strategies and worked as a Democratic pollster. Starting in 2023, Jessica has worked as the Senior Vice President of Research and Consumer Insights at BDG.
